Small amounts of recovered data can be delivered digitally, but for more than a few gigabytes, ACE places the recovered data onto a new device and ships that device back with the original one. However, it does mean that there may not be awareness of specifics that healthcare regulations require.ĪCE says it performs data recovery from Windows, macOS, Linux, DOS, some versions of Unix, VMware, Novell networks and others. A lack of a HIPAA certification doesn’t indicate that a recovery firm lacks the necessary security considerations. It does not have a HIPAA certification, which means it might be best to take storage with medical information elsewhere. There was no information about security audits.
